I usually try to avoid gyms and gym equipment when working out because you can usually get better results at home without expensive equipment. But if I were to go to a gym, I'd do some working out on the elliptical. It's a great low impact exercise. This is VERY IMPORTANT for overweight people.


Why?


Because overweight people who jump into exercising have a high incidence of hurting their tendons, ligaments, and cartilage due to high stress exercises such as running or anything else where you "land" on hard pavement.


Anyway, when using the elliptical, I like to go slow for 20 seconds and really fast for 10 seconds. I keep doing this sequence for sets of 6 minutes. I usually do 3-4 sets. That's all you need to do too. Depending on your conditioning, you can increase the slow part to 25-30 seconds if you want until you get use to this method.

It's important to get the upper body some "cardio action". And... the rowing machine is great for this. It will help you burn fat and sculpt your back in a way that makes your waist look smaller. So basically, you get more curvy.


For this exercise, I like to go all out for an intense 5 minutes. It's hard, but it's over with fast. Do this anytime you're at the gym.

Over the years, I've heard a huge range of fun weight loss tips - from dieting with friends and family, to fun electronic solutions such as using gaming machines. Indeed, whilst everyone seems to have a different method of losing weight - they all work off the same idea: people are getting out and doing something. This really is the key to it. If you spend your day sitting on the couch, reading the newspaper, phoning friends, and eating - you really are not doing yourself any justice. The thing about weight loss is that it's extremely simple! So simple, people often get too caught up in the complexities of it all. Let me put out the most obvious and intelligent equation of all:


Energy Consumption is greater than energy usage = weight gain.


Energy Usage is greater than consumption = weight loss.


Really, not that difficult at all! If you can remember this simple equation - there is no need to go in to extreme detail about protein, carbohydrates, sodium levels, etc. That is all just a mirage of things created in an attempt to blindside you in to thinking that one diet is better than another. Don't get fooled. All my clients know the above equations - and hence, instead of forcing themselves on to a majorly deficient diet - they just pump up their activity levels, and hence see the weight loss benefits of such action.

I know you watch tv. Don't bother saying otherwise. Even super busy people take time to relax. That's good. I'm going to make this work for you. Here's what you need to know. Tv commercials last about 3 minutes at a time. There's about 7 breaks for commercials. So that's about 20 minutes in 1 hour of tv watching that you can get in a workout. You don't even need to do it all in 1 hour either. Spread out your mini-workouts. It doesn't matter.


What to do? There's plenty of things. If you have stairs in your home, walk up and down them for 3 minutes non-stop. Get a mini-trampoline and get jumping. Use a hula hoop. Do jumping jacks. Jump rope. See, plenty of options. Look at your options, don't look for excuses.


2. Take 5 minutes for this special COMBO routine

6-Minute Circuit for Weight Loss

Circuit training helps you with your weight loss. With this exercise routine, you don't need cardio for fat loss.


You can eliminate cardio from your weight loss program. One thing we have to lose from our workout mindsets is the idea of this "60-minute workout". Forget about spending that much time in the gym. Instead, choose better exercises that are more efficient. This will allow you to get your workout done faster, eliminating the "no time" workout excuse.


The secret of circuit training is efficiency. You can get a lot done with only a little work. The trick is knowing which exercises are best. And because I've spent thousands of hours in the gym, in my workouts and with others, I have a pretty good idea which ones are best and which ones are a waste of time.


And lately, I've been spending a lot of time doing bodyweight exercises so that I can show you the best, most efficient way to get a great fat loss workout without requiring fancy, expensive gym equipment.


You can get more results from any push-up variation that is in my manual (a no-cost exercise) than you would from a single-arm cable crossover performed on a fancy $5000 gym machine.


Okay, do each exercise for 10 reps, resting 15 seconds between exercises. Go slow and controlled through each exercise except for the jumping jacks. It will take you about 6 minutes to get through the circuit once. You can repeat the circuit up to 4 times if you have more time to exercise.


Exercise 1 - Bodyweight Squats


Exercise 2 - Plank (hold for 45 seconds)


Exercise 3 - Split squats (5 reps per side)


Exercise 4 - Pushups


Exercise 5 - Side plank (hold for 20 seconds per side)


Exercise 6 - 45 seconds of jumping jacks


You can do this circuit every day if you only do it once. If you do it 3-4 times, take a day off between workouts, but stay active with other activities.

Do you want to lose weight quickly? Everyone does. After all, the sooner we can get to our end goal, the better.
